How much beard oil should I use? 

Okay, so you may be considering buying some beard oil or maybe someone has gifted you a nice bottle, but you're thinking what do I do with this, and how much do I use?  Well for starters please don't worry about asking what may feel like a silly question, because in fact it is a great question, especially for our hemp Seed Oil infused beard & face oil. And the truth of the answer is, is that there is no perfect amount. Well no perfect amount for everyone, because everyone will need their own amount!

How much beard oil should I use?

 

If you are using beard oil for the first time, we recommend starting small, then building up the to right amount. Especially as Hemp Seed Oil infused beard oil can feel a little more oily or greasy than some other brands. This is a good thing though! The healthy omegas 3, 6 & 9 are full of amazing properties to sooth your skin after a fresh shave or after that 3 week growth when the beard itch really kicks in. 

 

Okay - so you can see that we recommend starting off small and then increasing the amount of drops you use. We also recommend increasing the amount of drops as your beard length grows. This is condition the hair as well as the skin underneath. 

Okay you've got that! so now lets look at how to apply the beard oil... 

It is important to always start with a clean washed beard. You can use our Peppermint & hemp cleanser to wash both the face and the beard to get prepared. Then take the required amount of drops into you palm before applying to the skin first then from the roots to the tips of the hair.  

Okay, but how often should I apply the beard oil? 

We recommend apply beard oil everyday! And, depending on your length, skin type and season, twice a day is usually preferable to stop and prevent dried, flaky skin and beard druff. 

If you are anything like me and love soft clean skin you'll start apply extra oil around the eyes every night to help with those smile lines!
